Ingredients

4 medium size, cleaned Cuttlefish from one of the Blue Island Fish Markets

4 onions, chopped

4 cloves garlic, sliced

3 bay leaves

10 allspice berries

1 cup olive oil

Salt
-
Pepper

2 cup red wine

2 tablespoons tomato purée

2 ripe tomatoes, grated

Hot water
Instructions
Put the oil along with the onion and garlic in a deep saucepan. Sauté for a while and then add the cuttlefish.
Stir with a wooden spoon for a few minutes and add the wine. Once it has evaporated, add the grated tomato, tomato purée, salt, pepper, allspice, bay leaf and a cup of hot water.
Simmer for about an hour. If the food has too much liquid, remove the lid and turn up the heat for a while until the sauce thickens.
