Ingredients
-
2 Salmon Steaks
-
1 prigs fresh thyme
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 teaspoon unsalted butter
-
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
-
1 tablespoon maple syrup
-
Salt
-
1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
-
1 glass of Basmati rice
Instructions
Rinse the rice twice and put it in a pan with 1½ glasses of water. Place on a medium heat until it boils. Next, cover the pan with a towel and the lid on top. Set aside until the salmon steaks are cooked.
Heat the olive in a frying pan and place the steaks in the pan. Add the thyme, chilli flakes and salt. Cook for 4 – 5 minutes and turn the steaks over onto the other side. Add the salt, maple syrup and butter. Sprinkle the melting butter over the steaks using a spoon until they are cooked, about 3 – 4 minutes. Towards the end, add the chives and continue sprinkling the steaks.
Serve with the rice.
Bon appétit!
