Ingredients

500 g Mussels from one of the Blue Island Fish Markets

1 sweet red pepper

100 g Feta cheese, regular or vegan (optional)

2 teaspoons mustard

A little parsley

Garlic powder (to taste

Garlic, finely chopped (to taste)

1 Lemon
-
Salt
-
Pepper

Chilli pepper flakes

Olive Oil
Instructions
Clean the outside of the mussels and wash them well.
Put olive oil and the finely chopped sweet red pepper in a wide shallow saucepan, sauté for 2-3 minutes, add the mussels and close the lid of the pan. As soon as the mussels change colour, add the mustard, garlic and the carefully peeled lemon which has been cut into slices and then into four pieces. Season with salt and pepper, add the chilli flakes, parsley, close the lid and let the food boil for 5 minutes.
Turn off the stove, add the feta cheese, close the lid and leave the food on the hob for a while, to ‘settle in’ with the heat.
